How to Unlock Every Ending in Splatoon Raiders
Good Ending, Bad Ending, post-credits, and the Bottomless Buffet secret finale—without spoiling the whole campaign.
Endings in Splatoon Raiders are choices, not separate routes
Splatoon Raiders is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive that launched July 23, 2026. The campaign builds toward one final confrontation with Salmonarch in the Throne Room at Level 20 / sublevel 20 of the Great Salmon Mess Hall. What happens after that fight depends on how you handle Power Eggs during the same encounter—not on a hidden side quest or a second save file.
This guide explains every ending you can earn on a single Mechanic save: the Good Ending, the Bad Ending, the post-credits scene tied to the Good Ending, and the optional secret ending after Lord Saltimatum on Floor 100 of Bottomless Buffet. For fight mechanics, read How to Beat Salmonarch. For post-game unlocks, see How to Complete Bottomless Buffet and the Post-Game Walkthrough.
Campaign endings: Good vs Bad at Salmonarch
Both endings share the same boss arena, the same Salmonid waves, and the same Throne Room layout. The fork is Power Egg collection while Salmonarch is active.
Good Ending
Earn the Good Ending by defeating Salmonarch while meeting the Power Egg quota the fight expects. Lesser Salmonids and boss phases drop or expose eggs; your Exploration Bot, gadgets, and Showstoppers exist largely to keep collection windows open while Salmonarch pressure rises. When you finish the fight with enough Power Eggs banked, the story resolves on Deep Cut’s terms: the Mechanic’s raid succeeds, the Spirhalite Islands arc closes cleanly, and you roll into the post-game island loop.
After credits on this path, a post-credits scene plays—do not skip it if you care about lore payoffs and hints toward Hidden Ruins on Atke, Suma, and Kinp. That scene is Good Ending–only; the Bad Ending will not replay it.
Bad Ending
The Bad Ending triggers when Power Egg collection fails during the Salmonarch fight. You still fight the same boss; you simply do not gather enough eggs before the win condition resolves. That outcome is intentional design: the game allows you to deliberately ignore eggs if you want the darker epilogue on your first clear.
Because both endings use one save file, you do not need a second profile to experience both. Beat Salmonarch once for whichever ending you prefer, then use New Game+ style replay through the Great Salmon Mess Hall entry (or chapter select if unlocked) to see the alternate outcome. Many players Good-clear first for post-game access, then Bad-clear for catalog completion.
What endings do not change
Several systems stay constant regardless of ending:
- Difficulty — Tourist, Raider, and Survivalist only change enemy strength; loot does not change with difficulty. Endings care about Power Eggs, not Survivalist bragging rights. See the Difficulty Guide.
- Salvage rules — Weapons and materials you picked up during the run still belong to you even if egg collection fails.
- Online version — Patch Ver 1.1.0 (July 22, 2026) adjusted music and fixed bugs; it is required for online play, and all players in a session must match versions for local or LAN co-op. Details sit in Patch Notes.
Ending choice does not lock you out of Hideout Ship upgrades, Builds, or Tier List farming—it mainly changes narrative epilogue text and whether post-credits plays immediately.
Post-credits and post-game entry
The post-credits sequence follows only the Good Ending. Treat it as your bridge into true endgame: new island sectors, Hidden Ruins dungeons, and the relic hunt that eventually unlocks Bottomless Buffet. If you Bad-clear first, you still reach post-game geography once the campaign flag completes, but you miss that immediate post-credits beat until you Good-clear or replay the Throne Room with a successful egg run.
From there, progression is geographic and mechanical rather than “ending gated.” Explore Post-Game Walkthrough for island order, then chase nine tank-specific relics across three ruins (Items and Relics track powers).
Secret ending: Lord Saltimatum on Floor 100
Bottomless Buffet is a Survivalist-locked gauntlet unlocked only after clearing each Hidden Ruins once per tank archetype—Power, Speed, and Tactical—for nine relics total across Fischflak (~Lv42 on Atke), Smoksam (~Lv44 on Kinp), and Myunyere (~Lv46 on Suma). Inside the Buffet, you climb three floors at a time starting around Level 50 Salmonids, with no Call for Help allowed.
Floor 100 pits you against Lord Saltimatum and awards the run’s capstone rewards—including Endless Search / Legendary Loot–style relic effects (Power-tank Endless Search Relic makes undiscovered gadget parts easier to find). Defeating Lord Saltimatum resolves the secret ending cutscene. The mode continues after Floor 100 if you keep going, but the narrative “secret ending” is tied to that milestone.
Cosmetic hunters should note Golden Flash, Golden Fever, and Golden Forever outfit unlocks at floors 30, 60, and 100 respectively—parallel goals while chasing the secret finale. How to Scan amiibo covers extra cosmetic sources if you are completionist.
Recommended viewing order on one save
- Good Ending first — Unlock post-credits, open post-game islands, and start Hidden Ruins with full narrative context.
- Hidden Ruins relic sweep — Three islands, three ruins, three tanks each; use Walkthrough and Raid Checklist so no tank clear is forgotten.
- Bottomless Buffet climb — Survivalist-only; plan Builds for sustained three-floor pushes without Call for Help.
- Bad Ending replay — Quick Salmonarch revisit if you want both epilogues logged.
- Floor 100 secret ending — Lord Saltimatum for Endless Search relic quality and the secret cutscene.
Quick reference table
| Ending | Trigger | Post-credits? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Good | Beat Salmonarch with enough Power Eggs | Yes | Opens standard post-game flow |
| Bad | Fail Power Egg quota in same fight | No | Same boss; intentional ignore OK |
| Secret | Clear Floor 100; defeat Lord Saltimatum | N/A (mid/endless mode) | Requires Bottomless Buffet unlock |
Before you chase every ending
Stock Mega Power Eggs and bond-upgraded Showstoppers before Salmonarch—egg windows are combat windows. Read How to Beat Salmonarch for phase tips. For Buffet prep, farm Briny Scrolls and gadget parts so all three tanks stay raid-ready. Return to the Guides Hub when you need co-op etiquette (How to Play Co-op) or Spirhalite funding between attempts.
Splatoon Raiders endings reward clarity under pressure more than obscure flags. Collect eggs for hope, skip them for tragedy, then climb past one hundred floors if you want the last secret the Salmonids hide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do I get the Good Ending in Splatoon Raiders?
Defeat Salmonarch in the Great Salmon Mess Hall Throne Room while collecting enough Power Eggs during the fight. The same boss fight resolves Good or Bad based on egg totals.
Can I see both Good and Bad Endings on one save file?
Yes. Both endings use the same Salmonarch encounter. Clear once, then replay the fight and change how aggressively you collect Power Eggs for the alternate epilogue.
Does the Bad Ending block post-game content?
No. Post-game islands and Hidden Ruins unlock after the campaign completes, but the Good Ending alone triggers the immediate post-credits scene.
What is the secret ending?
Reach Floor 100 in Bottomless Buffet and defeat Lord Saltimatum. That cutscene is separate from the Salmonarch Good/Bad fork and requires nine Hidden Ruins relics first.
Does difficulty affect which ending I unlock?
No. Tourist, Raider, and Survivalist only change enemy strength, not loot or ending requirements. Power Egg collection during Salmonarch decides Good vs Bad.
